Private gifts in support of scholarships allow exceptionally able and worthy students to obtain a college education despite increasing cost. For many people, such gifts mean the opportunity to pursue their lifelong dreams through higher education.
The Career Education Scholarship Fund
The Career Education Scholarship Fund is a nonprofit 501(c) (3)fund dedicated to providing both need-based and merit-based scholarships to qualified students who are attending one of its many participating institutions.
About the Career Education Scholarship Fund
The Career Education Scholarship Fund was started in 1998 with the mission to help students enrich their lives by attaining a quality education in their selected discipline. This is accomplished by offering both need and merit-based scholarship opportunities to qualified students attending one of its participating colleges, universities and schools.
Since its inception the Career Education Scholarship Fund has awarded more than $12 million to help over 11,000 students realize their dreams of a college education.
The majority of students who are awarded these scholarships are need-based; but merit-based scholarships are also available. Merit scholarships are based on criteria developed by the schools and approved by the CESF, and range from critical essays to grade point average to portfolio reviews and judged cooking competitions.
